Protective Barrier
Your artist applies a Second Skin bandage immediately. This breathable, waterproof shield is your first line of defense against bacteria.
Fluid buildup (plasma/ink) is normal. It means the bandage is working.
The Waiting Period
Keep the bandage on for 48-72 hours. It is waterproof—you can shower normally, but avoid submerging it in baths or pools.
Removal Protocol
- 1. Remove in a warm shower to loosen the adhesive.
- 2. Pull the film along the skin (like a Command strip), not away from it.
- 3. Wash immediately with fragrance-free soap.
Wash & Moisturize
Once the bandage is off, your routine shifts to gentle maintenance. Treat your tattoo like the open wound it is.
- ✕
